KUCHING (March 8): Heavy rain, thunderstorms and strong winds have been forecast in southern and central parts of Sarawak until 3pm this afternoon.

Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) said in southern Sarawak, the weather warning covers Kuching and Samarahan (Samarahan dan Asajaya).

In central Sarawak, similar conditions are expected to occur in Sibu (Sibu and Selangau), Mukah (Matu, Dalat and Mukah) and Bintulu.
