KUCHING, 6 Oct: Kuching City FC (KCFC) is set to face the challenge of Tampines Rovers FC in the ASEAN Club Championship Shopee Cup competition, with the lineup of players in a positive state ahead of the match.

KCFC head coach Aidil Sharin Sahak said the Cats squad is in a good mood and ready to give their best performance in the match.

"The atmosphere in the team is good and the players are ready for the match. However, there are still some players who aren't really ready and we don't want to take the risk.

"Tampines are an experienced team as they play in the Shopee Cup and ACL every season. They have quality players and I expect this game to be intense and exciting", he said.

According to Aidil, Tampines Rovers' experience of consistently performing in Southeast Asian and Asian club level competitions is one aspect that his men should pay attention to.

He said that KCFC should give full focus throughout the match to ensure every opportunity available can be used as best as possible.

The match against Tampines Rovers was also an important ground for KCFC to continue the momentum in Shopee Cup competition as well as test squad ability in facing experienced teams on the international stage.

The match between Kuching City FC and Tampines Rovers will take place at the Taha Ariffin Stadium tomorrow night.
