BINTULU (Jan 18): A dedicated facility for retirees has been launched at the N67 Jepak Service Centre.

Jepak assemblyman Iskandar Turkee said the initiative is intended to provide greater comfort and convenience to retired residents in the constituency.

“The special facility is allocated for the use of retirees’ association, allowing them to conduct meetings, plan activities and manage their affairs in a more organised and comfortable environment.

“For all retirees in Jepak, if you have any needs or require assistance, please do not hesitate to come directly to the service centre.

“God willing, we will try our best to help, whether it involves basic assistance such as diapers, milk, wheelchairs, medical kits, or matters related to your children’s schooling,” he said.

Iskandar also encouraged the Persatuan Pesara Bintulu to remain active and to plan more meaningful programmes, especially with the upcoming month of Ramadan, to strengthen bonds and camaraderie among its members.

He expressed his appreciation to the Sarawak Government Pensioners Association (Bintulu Division) for the invitation to attend an afternoon tea reception.

Iskandar hoped the newly provided facility will be fully utilised by retirees in the Jepak constituency.

“We look after the welfare of our retirees because their contributions and services will always be valued,” he said.
