MIRI (Nov 3): Charlene Ho and Annabella Moi emerged winners of the children’s colouring contest held in connection with the Miri Trade Fair (Mitraf) 28, in Permaisuri Imperial City Mall here today.
Charlene took first place in Group A, slated for those aged between seven and nine, while Annabella came out tops in Group B, comprising participants aged 10 to 12.
Sandy Wong and Lam Hao Yii Group A’s first and second runners-up, respectively, while Group B witnessed Chloe Ha as the first runner-up, as Eugenia Tie placed as the second runner-up.
Consolation prizes for Group A were presented to Kyra Kanisha Ai Xuen, Anson Hii, Sheldon Sim, Emma Law, Jayden Chan, Kayla Tie, Pui Wan En, Darren Ting, Isabella Goh, and Hanna Ling, while Group B consolation gifts were awarded to Eunice Tie, Chai En Xi, Isabella Wong, Samson Ting, Tang Ru Jie, Amber Hii, Sheila Sim, Gabriel Mutang Semmar, Lee Wen Ching, and Vanessa Ling.
In recognition of the winners’ hard work and artistic skills, they received cash prizes, trophies, participation certificates, and Ten Ten food items sponsored by Hong Xin Food Sdn Bhd.
The colouring contest gathered approximately 80 participants from various primary schools across Miri, and was organised by the Miri branch of See Hua Marketing Sdn Bhd and sponsored by STM Lottery Sdn Bhd, Halycon Marketing Sdn Bhd, and Hong Xin Food.
The event was a colourful highlight of Mitraf 28, meant to celebrate young talents and add a lively, creative touch to the annual fair.
On hand to present the awards during the prize giving ceremony was Mitraf 28 organising chairman Melvin Ng, STM Lottery Miri sales officer Ting Sing Luke, Halycon Marketing managing director Jenny Chai, and business operation director Sia Chen Ding.
