SIBU (Jan 10): A total of 72 vehicles were examined during the ‘Overload Operations’ along the Pan Borneo-Paradom-Lanang Road sections here on Thursday night.

Road Transport Department (JPJ) Sarawak in a Facebook post said the inspection was jointly carried out by JPJ Sibu Operations Unit and Falcon Team.

“The operation, involving commercial and private vehicles, detected several offences,” it said.

“Among them were overloading, poorly maintained vehicles, modification of structures and vehicle equipment without any approval.

“We will continue to intensify enforcement activities to ensure compliance with road laws, especially involving vehicles safety and road user safety as a whole,” said JPJ Sarawak.
