PACA Kabong is preparing for the 13th Sarawak People's Congress

KABONG, 5 Oct: Voting Agent and Accounting Agent (PACA) Officer of the DUN Kabong is prepared with knowledge and understanding of electoral procedure as preparation for 13th Sarawak State Election (PRN).

The preparation was implemented through the Preparatory and Role Briefing Programme of PACA which aims to improve staff readiness in order to carry out responsibilities in an orderly, disciplined manner and comply with established rules.

Member of the National Assembly (ADUN) Kabong, Dato Mohd Chee Kadir said a clear understanding of election procedures is essential to ensure that each PACA can perform its respective duties properly.

According to him, PACA plays an important role in monitoring the voting process and counting of votes on each channel, as well as ensuring party interests are given due attention.

"Each PACA should understand its respective roles and responsibilities and be prepared to face the various situations that may arise throughout the electoral process", he said.

He said this during a briefing on Sunday.

Mohd Chee explained that the initial training and briefing can help officers understand what action should be taken especially during the voting and counting process.

He also emphasized the importance of care in the voting process to ensure all procedures are implemented correctly and comply with election rules.

"PacA officers must exercise trust responsibly, transparently and with discipline. We want all officers to be fully prepared when the time comes to carry out their work in the field", he said.

The programme also outlined the roles and responsibilities of counting agents as well as voting agents including important points to be considered throughout the voting and counting process.

The initial preparation is expected to enable PACA DUN Kabong to implement the trust with full commitment, professionalism and discipline, thus helping ensure smoothness of the election process in the future.
