BINTULU (Nov 2): A Pakistan national, in his 30s, was found dead at the parking lot of Bintulu Central here early today.

Bintulu District police chief Supt Nixon Joshua Ali said the police had received notification from Bintulu Hospital at 5.50am, reporting about a man who was found lying on the ground near a car at the parking lot.

According to preliminary investigations, the victim was identified as a Pakistan national who had been residing in Malaysia for nearly 30 years.

Nixon said based on initial checks on the body, the man might have suffered from an illness.

“The body was taken to the Bintulu Hospital mortuary for an autopsy,” he said in a statement, adding that the case had been classified as sudden death.

Nixon called upon members of the public who might have information about the matter, to contact investigating officer ASP Mohd Sani Junid on 019-566 6500 or the Bintulu District police headquarters operations room on 086-318 304.
