KUCHING (July 8): Parti Bangsa Malaysia (PBM) is always open to accepting new members to join its party, its president Datuk Larry Sng said.

He said the party is part of the Madani government and has always supported the administration led by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

“The doors to PBM as well as PBM Julau Branch are always open to anyone who wants to join the party.

“PBM has always supported the Madani government led by the Prime Minister and our party also fully supports the state constituencies (under Julau parliamentary constituency) Pakan and Meluan,” he said in a post on his Facebook page.

Sng, who is Julau MP, said as part of the federal government, PBM is committed to delivering projects to the people through the Projek Mesra Rakyat (PMR) and Minor Rural Project (MRP) schemes.

“The Julau parliamentary constituency has also received an allocation of RM120,000 from the All-Party Parliament Group Malaysia (APPGM) – Sustainable Development Goals (SDG).

“This allocation will go towards the implementation of three projects under this constituency namely the Pakan Town Youth Club (KBPP), hydroponic vegetable planting in Ruyak, and oil palm planting and maintenance course for smallholders in Julau,” he said.

He also said that several longhouse projects have been approved for 2023 and 2024 and that the grants have been disbursed to the respective village development security committees (JKKKs).

“For those who have yet to receive the grants, rest assure that the projects have been approved and are underway,” he said.

Sng, who had earlier attended a ‘ngiling tikai’ ceremony at Rumah Rinya Usi in Jagoi Pakan, Sarikei, said allocations of RM10,000 and RM3,000 will be distributed to Rumah Rinya Usi’s JKKK and Women’s Bureau respectively.

“I have also allocated RM15,000 to Rumah Timbu for ground leveling works, RM3,000 to the SK Nanga Kara Parent-Teacher Association to organise sports activities as well as RM1,500 to the pre-school of SK Nanga Pakan,” he added.
