MIRI (Jan 25): Parti Bansa Dayak Sarawak (PBDS) continues to strengthen its grassroots operations with the establishment of a pro tem committee for the N50 Machan State Legislative Assembly (DUN) constituency.

According to a statement, the formation of the pro tem committee also reflects the party’s seriousness in preparing for upcoming political challenges, particularly in anticipation of the state election expected to be held this year.

Former community leader Spencer Kudang was appointed as Chairman of the PBDS N50 Machan pro tem committee, while Satia Brain was named Vice Chairman during the committee’s formation meeting.

The event was also attended by several top party leaders, including PBDS Vice President Puso Bujang, PBDS Information Chief Sigie Badang, and PBDS Supreme Council Member Derek Wat, underscoring the party leadership’s full support for the establishment of the Machan branch.

According to Sigie, the formation of the N50 Machan branch aims to identify and strengthen the party’s candidate for the constituency in preparation for the election, as well as to ensure that the distribution of RTP/MRP allocations is carried out fairly and equitably, particularly for rural residents.

In addition, PBDS N50 Machan will serve as a voice of the people by applying continuous pressure on elected representatives to ensure that the rights and basic needs of the Dayak community are consistently voiced and defended.

Meanwhile, the PBDS N50 Machan pro tem committee reaffirmed its commitment to continue fighting for justice, balanced development, and the welfare of the Dayak people through democratic channels, in line with the party’s principles and struggles.
