PKR Petra Jaya provides petrol aid to motorcyclists during Christmas

KUCHING (Dec 27): Many motorcyclists in Petra Jaya here received petrol assistance worth RM5 each under the ‘Program Sumbangan Petrol Petra Jaya Kita’ organised by the Petra Jaya branch Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR), in celebration of Christmas this year.

The programme was held at the Petronas Telaga Tiga station, and targeted riders from the middle and low-income groups.

“While modest in value, the initiative aims to ease daily expenses and it also reflects the party’s commitment to delivering welfare and service-based assistance directly at the grassroots level.

“Programmes such as this demonstrate that politics centred on service, responsibility and care for the people can be implemented effectively,” said PKR Petra Jaya in a statement.

It added that the initiative also promoted harmony, inclusiveness and mutual respect in Sarawak’s multiracial and multi-religious society, while celebrating the spirit of Christmas.

PKR Petra Jaya said in a climate where racial and religious issues could sometimes be exploited, it deemed efforts to strengthen understanding and unity among communities as being crucial.

The party expressed confidence that the targeted incentives and subsidy policies introduced under the Madani Government would help ease the people’s burdens and ensure that assistance would reach those who genuinely needed it.

“These measures align with the principles of social and economic justice that PKR has long upheld,” it added.

The branch reaffirmed its support for the ‘Reformasi Agenda’ and the Madani Government, pledging continued commitment to the welfare of the people, economic justice, and integrity in politics.
