KUCHING (March 13): Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim arrived in Kuching today for a special development meeting with the Sarawak government as part of his working visit to the state.
The Prime Minister arrived at the Satria Pertiwi Complex around 2.10pm for the meeting to discuss development priorities and strengthening coordination between the federal and state governments.
He was accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister Fadillah Yusof and Sarawak Premier Abang Johari Tun Openg, along with several senior leaders from both the federal and Sarawak governments.
The meeting is part of Anwar’s nationwide engagements with state leadership to review ongoing development plans, address current issues, and ensure the needs of local communities are met.
Earlier, Anwar, who is also Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) president, also met with PKR Sarawak leaders at a session at the Penview Convention Centre (PCC) in Demak.
Anwar is also scheduled to visit the Ramadan bazaar at Sukma Ria in Petra Jaya before attending the Sarawak-level Madani 2026 iftar event at Masjid Jamek Negeri Sarawak.
