PN Sarawak chairman Jaziri Alkaf steps down following Muhyiddin’s national resignation

KUCHING (Dec 30): Jaziri Alkaf Abdillah Suffian has announced his resignation as chairman of Perikatan Nasional (PN) Sarawak, effective Jan 1, 2026.

In a statement, Jaziri, who is also Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) Sarawak chairman, said his decision followed the resignation of Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin as chairman of PN at the national level.

“As a mark of respect for the position I hold, which was an appointment made by Yang Berhormat Tan Sri as chairman of Perikatan Nasional, I hereby inform that I am resigning from my position as chairman of Perikatan Nasional Sarawak,” he said.

Jaziri expressed his appreciation to the leadership of PN Sarawak for their support and cooperation during his tenure.

“I would like to record my highest appreciation and heartfelt thanks to all Perikatan Nasional Sarawak leaders for the support and cooperation extended to me throughout the period I served as chairman,” he said.

Jaziri held the post of PN Sarawak chairman since 2021 and was also a senator.
