The cartridges believed to contain marijuana seized during the first raid
KUCHING (Jan 25) Police have arrested six individuals consisting of three local men and three foreign women for suspected drug-related offences in two separate raids last Friday.
Kuching district police chief ACP Alexson Naga Chabu said the first raid at 10.30pm saw a 45-year-old local man arrested at a residential area in Jalan Durian Burung here.
He added that the raiding team found 198 vape cartridges containing 376.2 millilitres of liquid believed to be marijuana, valued at RM29,700.
“The suspect tested positive for amphetamine, methamphetamine, and ketamine, and had one prior criminal record.
“The case is being investigated under Section 6 of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952, and he is currently remanded until Jan 27 to assist in the investigation,” he said in a statement on Saturday night.

About 20 minutes later, Alexson said the raiding team also arrested two local men aged 21 and 45, along with three foreign women aged 20, 25, and 28 at a residential unit in the same area.
Inspections found one straw tube containing 0.47 grammes of white powder believed to be ketamine, worth RM80.
“Four of the suspects — two men and two women — tested positive for drugs, while one woman tested negative. Both male suspects each had one prior criminal record.
“The case is being investigated under Section 12(2) of the same Act, and all suspects are remanded until Jan 27,” he said.
