PADAWAN: Police are on the hunt for three more men to assist investigations into the recent shooting incident that injured three others behind a supermarket last Monday (July 8).
They are identified as 42-year-old Thian Fatt Kui, 34-year-old Ricky Nelson Ungking, and 30-year-old Pang Siong Seng.
Padawan police chief Supt Mohd Irwan Hafiz Md Radzi said that these individuals are needed to complete investigations into the case that occurred along Mile 19, Jalan Kuching-Serian.
“Those with information regarding the suspects’ whereabouts, are urged to report them to Padawan Criminal Investigation Division (CID) chief ASP Sylvarius Gopog at 013-8637241.
“The case is being investigated under Section 307 of the Penal Code and Section 8 of the Firearms (Increased Penalties) Act 1971 for attempted murder and unlawful possession of a firearm,” he said.
Last Monday, at 1.57am, police received a report from a 26-year-old man claiming that three of his friends were shot with a shotgun behind a supermarket along Mile 19, Jalan Kuching-Serian.
Preliminary investigations found that the victims, aged 24 and 25, sustained gunshot wounds to their bodies.
All of them are currently in stable condition at Sarawak General Hospital (SGH), where they are receiving treatment.
On the same day, between 8pm and 11pm, the CID managed to arrest three local men, aged between 23 and 26, around Mile 17 and Mile 18 areas.
They are being remanded until July 16 to facilitate investigations into the case.
