Juhar confers the Seri Panglima Darjah Kinabalu award on Abang Johari.

KUCHING (Oct 5): Sarawak Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg was conferred Sabah’s highest honour today in conjunction with the 71st birthday of Yang di-Pertua Negeri Tun Juhar Mahiruddin.

The Premier’s Office in a release said Abang Johari was conferred the Seri Panglima Darjah Kinabalu (SPDK), which carries the title ‘Datuk Seri Panglima’.

The investiture ceremony was held at Istana Seri Kinabalu in Kota Kinabalu.

Accompanying Abang Johari were his wife Datuk Amar Juma’ani Tuanku Bujang, and Deputy Minister of Utility and Telecommunication Datuk Dr Abdul Rahman Junaidi.

Also present were Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor and members of the Sabah Cabinet.

A total 1,373 persons are listed as award recipients in conjunction with the Sabah Head of State’s birthday celebration this year.
