KUCHING (Jan 12): Police arrested two men aged 31 and 44 for drugs during a raid on a house at Jalan Song here on Saturday.
Kuching police chief ACP Alexson Naga Chabu said the two suspects were apprehended at 1.15pm.
“Checks on both suspects found 12 packets containing crystals believed to be methamphetamine weighing 6.23 grammes and worth RM685.
“Both suspects were found positive for amphetamine and methamphetamine, and both have prior criminal records with the 44-year-old suspect having 17 prior records and the other having one,” he said in a statement.
Alexson said the case is being investigated under Section 39A (1) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952.
Both suspects have been remanded until Thursday to assist with the investigation.
