BINTULU (Sept 5): Residents of Rumah Emi Mesa in the Jepak constituency here will soon get to enjoy better road access and stable energy source through the installation of four solar-powered lights.
According to Shahrezy Sulaiman, a representative of Jepak assemblyman Iskandar Turkee, the facility uplifts will be implemented under the 2024 Rural Transformation Programme (RTP) project.
“Upon completion this year, the 18-door longhouse community will not only enjoy better road access but also a more stable energy source with the installed solar poles.
“We are committed to ensuring sustainable infrastructure development for the well-being of the people,” he said.
Shahrezy said the project reflects the state government’s commitment to improving the living standards of the people in the rural areas.
The project involves the construction of a 1.5km paved road and installation of four solar poles, costing a total of RM200,000.
