KUCHING, Mar 8: Kapit MP Alexander Nanta Linggi recently presented contribution cheques to 30 recipients in the Kapit parliamentary constituency, involving aid to support community activities and development initiatives in the area.

In a Facebook post, Nanta said the assistance totalled RM315,000 and was aimed at helping recipients implement programmes, community activities and grassroots development initiatives.

“The contribution is hoped to strengthen the implementation of programmes, community activities and development initiatives at the grassroots level,” he said.

Nanta, who is also the Works Minister, said such support is important to ensure the wellbeing of the community continues to be safeguarded while empowering local communities to progress and remain competitive.

He also expressed appreciation to all parties who attended and cooperated in efforts to develop the Kapit constituency and added that the assistance is hoped to benefit all recipients. — DayakDaily
