SIBU (March 19): The Sarawak Basic Needs Assistance (SKAS) distribution through the S Pay Global application has streamlined the aid delivery process, said Bukit Assek assemblyman Joseph Chieng.
According to him, more than 90 per cent of recipients have registered with S Pay Global.
“The SPay Global simplifies the distribution process and ensures aid reaches the intended groups,” he said at the launch of the initiative for the Bukit Assek constituency here yesterday.
Chieng said the SKAS assistance would be distributed in three phases – in March, May, and November.
He added that households would receive a total of RM950, senior citizens RM500, and single individuals RM300.
He expressed hope that recipients would utilise the assistance wisely.
Also present at the event were Sibu District Officer Tsong Chow Choon and Sarawak United People’s Party Bukit Assek branch chairman Datuk Chieng Buong Toon.
