MIRI (Dec 7): A search-and-rescue (SAR) operation has been activated for a senior citizen in Limbang, who failed to return home from his durian orchard in Kampung Merasam Darat.
The Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) in a statement identified the man as
“He left home for his orchard at around 7.30am on Saturday but did not return home.
“Family members and villagers carried out a search but were unsuccessful, prompting them to seek official assistance,” said Bomba.
It added a call on the incident was received at 12.27pm yesterday, leading to the despatch of rescuers to the village to conduct a search.
As of 2.30pm, the senior has not been located.
