KUCHING, March 13: Retirees of the Sarawak Civil Service (SCS) have been advised to update their personal information to enable verification and facilitate the payment of the Sarawak government’s one-off Special Financial Assistance (BKK) of RM500 for 2025.

According to Sarawak Public Communication Unit (Ukas), Human Resource Development and Management Unit (HRDM) of the Sarawak Premier’s Department stated that the BKK payment for SCS retirees is expected to be disbursed starting March or April 2026.

The payment is subject to eligibility criteria covering several categories, including permanent and pensionable appointments, Employees Provident Fund (EPF) scheme members, permanent non-pensionable appointments, contribution-based positions, and long-term contract appointments up to the mandatory retirement age.

“Retirees are advised to update their personal details by scanning the QR code survey attached to the circular letter (reference 86/JPS/UPPSM/SSAA/500-3/25 dated Jan 13, 2026) to ensure smooth verification and payment arrangements,” it said in a media statement issued today.
