KUCHING, April 1: The joyous spirit of Aidilfitri once again acted as a unifying force for Sarawak’s leadership when Sarawak Governor Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar and wife Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah Mohd Sanusi, paid a Hari Raya visit to the official residence of the Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg, at Satria Pertiwi Complex on Tuesday (March 31) evening.

More than a festive tradition, the visit highlighted the strong bonds between the State’s leadership institutions, fostering goodwill, harmony, and mutual respect.

According to Sarawak Public Communication Unit (Ukas), the Governor and his consort were warmly welcomed by the Premier, his daughter Dayang Norjihan and the family.

Also present were key State leaders, including the Minister of Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts Dato Sri Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah, Deputy Minister in the Premier’s Department (Law, MA63, and State-Federal Relations) Datuk Sharifah Hasidah Sayeed Aman Ghazali, Deputy Minister of Utilities (Sarawak Energy and PETROS) Datuk Ibrahim Baki, and Deputy Minister in the Premier’s Department (Project Coordinator for Regional Development Agencies, Kuching North City Commission and Islamic Affairs) Datuk Dr Abdul Rahman Junaidi.

During the two-hour visit, the leaders exchanged views on current issues, reinforcing collaboration and cohesion among Sarawak’s leadership for the continued stability and prosperity of the State. — DayakDaily
