KUCHING, 7 Oct: Sarawak Baitulmal Tabung (TBS) distributes RM100.3 million to eligible asnafs across Sarawak as of 31 August 2026

TBS Managing Director, Iskandar Allan said the order was implemented through four main programmes: Programme for Strengthening the Scientific Tradition, Programme for Establishing the Well-being of Ummah, Programme for Developing Islamic Institutions and Programme for Improving the Skills of Ummah.

"This reflects the ongoing commitment of TBS to ensure that the aid channelled continues to benefit those in need. TBS can see how this aid is impacting asnaf", he said in a statement, today.

Previously he sponsored a portion of the TBS Sara Live Aid recipients through the handover of Sara Live Financial Aid as well as hamper contributions to three recipient families residing in Wira Village Park, New Stampin and Ngui Bee Hong Village, Batu Kawa.

He said that the allowance to TBS Sara Live Aid recipients is part of TBS's responsibility in strengthening relations with beneficiaries, as well as ensuring that the benefits of the assistance channelled continue to provide value and impact to the Asnaf community.

At the same time, he said TBS provides a volunteer service known as Partner Zakat to help identify Asnaf groups and expand assistance reach to those in need.

According to him, TBS also provides various other forms of assistance tailored to the needs of Asnaf, including medical aid, home improvement and education under four main TBS programmes.

"We want to make sure that the aid is really reaching those in need and benefiting their lives", he said.
