KUCHING: SarawakPass and MyDigital ID are now integrated, allowing users of either platform to access participating state and federal digital services.

The integration, implemented this year, enables SarawakPass users to scan a MyDigital ID QR code to access participating federal web services.

MyDigital ID users can similarly scan a SarawakPass QR code to access participating Sarawak web services.

According to the Sarawak Civil Service Digitalisation Unit (SCSDU), the integration will be extended to selected MyDigital ID-enabled mobile applications in the coming months.

This will allow SarawakPass users to access the selected applications through SarawakPass.

The milestone was showcased during the International Digital Economy Conference Sarawak (IDECS) 2026 at the Borneo Convention Centre Kuching (BCCK) here today (Oct 5).

Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg witnessed a commemorative memento exchange marking the successful interoperability between SarawakPass and MyDigital ID.

The state was represented by SCSDU director Datuk Grace Huong Siew Hung, while the federal side was represented by National Cyber Security Agency (NACSA) deputy chief executive Noursilawati Abdul Halim and MyDigital ID Sdn Bhd deputy chief executive officer Azrin Aris.

During the event, MyDigital ID presented a token of appreciation to Abang Johari in recognition of the strategic collaboration between MyDigital ID and SarawakPass.

Another milestone highlighted was the expansion of SarawakPass into corporate services through single sign-on integration with SEB Cares, Sarawak Water and AirBorneo.

The expansion brings more organisations into the SarawakPass ecosystem, extending the digital gateway beyond government services.

MyDigital ID chief executive officer Nik Hisham Nik Ibrahim said the integration marks another step towards building a safer digital environment for users.

“Today, MyDigital ID serves 14.1 million users through 203 integrations, providing access to numerous digital services for the rakyat.

“In fact, since August 2025, MyDigital ID has recorded a total of 82 million logins,” he said in a statement.

Nik Hisham said the integration brings the national digital identity foundation closer to Sarawak while allowing it to be tailored to the state’s needs.

“Through this integration, SarawakPass brings the trust of the national identity foundation closer to the people of Sarawak, tailored to Sarawak’s own needs.

“MyDigital ID congratulates the Sarawak Government on this milestone and looks forward to continuing our efforts to expand this ecosystem together,” he said.

SarawakPass was launched at IDECS 2025 as the state’s trusted digital gateway for secure access to a growing range of digital services.

The Sarawak government and NACSA subsequently signed a memorandum of understanding on Nov 28 last year to integrate SarawakPass with MyDigital ID.
