SIBU (Jan 3): The Lanang Service Centre hosted the Sayangi Lanang: Madani Combo Sale at Doremart Sibu today, drawing a strong turnout from the public.
Lanang MP Alice Lau, represented by her private secretary Stanley Chiew, said a total of 300 food packages were made available, each originally priced at RM30.
“Through this initiative, the Lanang Service Centre is offering a subsidy, allowing residents to purchase the packages for just RM20, saving up to 30 per cent,” said the statement.
Each package contained 1kg of white sugar, cooking oil, a tray of 30 eggs, instant noodles, and canned food items.
The initiative is part of ongoing efforts to support the community, helping Sibu residents buy daily essentials at prices 10 to 30 per cent below market rates.
The programme, which also ran last year, received strong support and has proven to be a practical way to help households manage daily expenses.
