KUCHING (Dec 26): A mobile service counter will be set up at Siang Siang Corner in Tabuan Jaya by Batu Lintang assemblyman See Chee How’s service team to assist eligible individuals in applying for the Senior Citizen Health Benefit (SCHB).

The community service will be available from 9am to noon on Saturday (Dec 27).

Sarawakians aged 60 and above are encouraged to apply for the SCHB before the end of the year to enjoy the benefits offered by the state government.

According to See, successful applicants will get to enjoy benefits offered on an annual basis, without the need of renewal.

“Successful applicants are expected to present their MyKad when they seek consultations at private clinics and dental clinics,” he said.

Under this SCHB, the Sarawak government provides RM500 for each successful applicant every year.

Applicants must be Sarawakians whose MyKad bears the ‘K’ status, 60 and above, with household income not exceeding RM7,000, and are not enjoying other medical benefits offered by private institutions.
