SIBU (Jan 11): SK Bandar Bintangor received a donation of six smart television units from Meradong assemblyman Datuk Ding Kuong Hiing on Friday.
Ding said the contribution reflected his commitment of supporting the school’s implementation of the Ministry of Education’s (MoE) Digital Education Policy, particularly its emphasis on infrastructure empowerment and digital content.
“This initiative is intended to strengthen the school’s readiness in providing an environment conducive to digital access, while empowering both students and teachers through technology-based pedagogy,” he said in a statement.
He regarded these facilities as being crucial in expanding technology-assisted learning, such as digital quizzes, multimedia simulations, real-time visual displays and internet-integrated learning activities.
“This makes learning more engaging, interactive, and student-centred,” he said.
“Overall, this contribution is expected to benefit daily teaching and learning, improve student outcomes, and support long-term digital education goals – ultimately producing students who are technologically literate, competent, and competitive in the digital era,” Ding added.
