MIRI, 24 September: First Runner-Up Miss Heritage Sarawak 2026, Stacy Rosedyana Sigar, is set to bring the cultural uniqueness of Lunbawang from Lawas to the stage of Miss Heritage Malaysia 2026.
Stacy said her participation at the national level was a great honour to have had the opportunity to carry Sarawak's name as a girl from Lawas and Lunbawang community.
According to him, preparations for the competition included physical, mental, scientific, emotional and spiritual aspects, as well as getting support from family, team, friends and people of Sarawak.
"Among the heritage that will be highlighted are the beauty of Lunbawang bead art, traditional clothing and the pure values of the community including hospitality and family spirit.
"Of course I will highlight the unique culture of Lunbawang from Sarawak. I want to bring the beauty of Lunbawang bead art very meticulously, the elegance of meaningful traditional clothing and also the pure values of Lunbawang society such as hospitality and family spirit", he said when meeting with TVS at Miri Airport, here today.
Stacy said her main goal is not just to pursue victory, but to give the best performance and share stories about Sarawak on a national stage.
He said the opportunity also proved that a girl from Lawas is able to stand magnificently on the national stage, while winning if it were a fortune would be considered as a bonus for Sarawak.
"I would like to call upon the young people of Sarawak not to be ashamed of their origins and continue to preserve their heritage and culture.
"Our heritage and culture are our identity. We can pursue modernity and succeed anywhere. Keep on wearing our traditional clothes, speak your mother tongue and be proud to be a Sarawak".
Stacy hopes that her participation will glorify Sarawak's name and the pride of the family and the entire people of the state.
He also wanted to make the Miss Heritage Malaysia 2026 stage a space to introduce Sarawak's rich heritage to communities across Malaysia.
Miss Heritage Malaysia 2026 will be held from September 24 to 28 in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah.
