KUCHING: Deputy Health Minister Datuk Hanifah Hajar Taib has called for closer cooperation among all parties involved to expedite the completion of the Petra Jaya Hospital project.
She said stronger coordination was crucial to ensure the project could be completed according to the specified schedule and begin serving the healthcare needs of residents in Petra Jaya and surrounding areas.
Hanifah made the call during a follow-up working visit to the hospital project site on Friday (Sept 18) to review its latest construction progress.
Before inspecting the site, she was briefed on the current physical progress of the project and the roadmap for its completion.
She and her delegation also received a briefing from the Sarawak Public Works Department (PWD) on the construction status, including the healthcare facilities and amenities planned for the hospital.
The visit also reflected the Ministry of Health Malaysia’s (MOH) continued monitoring of the project and efforts to ensure necessary actions are coordinated among the relevant agencies and parties.
Hanifah stressed the importance of all stakeholders working together to address matters related to the project and ensure its timely completion.
