Sukma: Sibu to host 3 sports with 180 duty volunteers

SIBU (July 6): A total of 180 general volunteers here will be on duty throughout the 21st Malaysia Games (Sukma) from August 17 to 24.

Sibu will play host to the three sports of football (Stadium Tun Zaidi), volleyball (Sibu Volleyball Indoor Stadium at Rejang Park) and badminton (Sibu Indoor Stadium).

A meeting of the 21st Sukma working committee was held at Sibu Resident Office recently, chaired by Sibu Resident Office administrative officer Awang Mohammed Nizam Awang Ali Bohan.

The meeting obtained the latest reports from the various sub-committees concerning preparations that have been made and planned to ensure the smooth operation of the 21st Sukma.

Also present were Sibu Division youth and sports officer Nur Fatheen Khairuzan Seleman and personnel from relevant government agencies involved.
