KUCHING, Mar 16: TEGAS Digital Village has sparked inspiration for future community innovation centres, serving as a real-life case study for the final-year project of students from the Architecture Department of the Sabah Institute of Art (SIA) today.
According to Deputy Minister for Urban Planning, Land Administration, and Environment Datuk Len Talif Salleh, the visit from the delegation, led by SIA lecturer Ade Alif Jobin, focused on understanding site planning and the functional spaces of an innovation hub, as well as technical and safety aspects.
“The delegation was also taken on a tour to observe building services systems and key infrastructure.
“This included the digital ecosystem, which serves as an important learning component in connecting academic theory with the realities of the architecture industry,” said Len Talif, who is also chairman of Tabung Ekonomi Gagasan Anak Sarawak (TEGAS), in a Facebook post.
The delegation explored how the building’s layout, spaces, and functions support digital innovation and entrepreneurship in Sarawak. — DayakDaily
