LAWAS, 8 Oct: Tanjung Aru Village residents will enjoy greater and more comfortable multi-purpose hall facilities, with the project expected to be completed by March 2027.
Deputy Prime Minister of Sarawak, Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan said that the project could be re-implemented after the issue of land grabbing and ownership which caused the original allocation to be withdrawn was successfully resolved.
According to him, the construction of the hall has been restarted since last September.
"When the hall is completed, it can be used by the people of Tanjung Aru Village and surrounding areas. This is in line with our desire to provide a larger hall facility to enable the residents to carry out various activities", he said.
He said this during a work visit to the multi-purpose village of Tanjung Aru on Wednesday.
Awang Tengah explained that the facility should be jointly utilized by residents of Tanjung Aru Village and surrounding areas to ensure its benefits can be fully enjoyed.
