The Golden Citizen was involved in an accident at Saratok

SARATOK, 11 Oct: Two people were injured in a car and pickup accident on P Turn of the Pan Borneo Highway this morning.

According to a statement by the Malaysian Fire and Rescue Department's (JBPM) Operations Movement Centre (PGO), Sarawak received an emergency call at 11.06 am before Saratok Fire and Rescue Police (BBP) members arrived on site three minutes later.

"A Golden Citizen man riding Perodua Bezza was found trapped inside the vehicle, while another victim riding a pickup truck suffered leg injuries", according to the statement.

The bombers used road accident rescue equipment (RTA) to evacuate the victims.

The victim was then transported using a dressing before being handed over to the Malaysian Ministry of Health (MoHM) for further treatment.

Another victim was taken to hospital using an Emergency Medical Services (EMRS) vehicle bomb.

The operation involved eight Saratok BBP members with an FRT machine, while KKM also assisted in the management of victims on site.

Rescue operations were controlled at 11:30 a.m. and fully completed by 12:30 noon after rescue work and area cleaning was completed.
