The NFCC delegation to the Niah National Park

MIRI, 24 September: The National Anti-Financial Crime Centre (NFCC) delegation held a visit to Niah National Park, including exploring the Great Cave, in conjunction with the NFCC Advisory Board Members and Executive Committee Member Retreat Program, yesterday.

The delegation was chaired by NFCC Director-General Dato' Sri Shamshun Baharin Mohd Jamil.

According to a statement from the Sarawak Forestry Corporation (SFC), the visit gave the delegation an opportunity to celebrate the uniqueness of natural treasures, biodiversity and heritage of Niah National Park which is recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

"The delegation also received explanations on the importance of conservation, management of protected areas and biodiversity sustainability which are among the important responsibilities of Sarawak Forestry Corporation (SFC).

"In addition to enhancing the natural beauty of the Great Cave, the visit also serves as a platform for strengthening ties and cooperation networks between NFCC and SFC", the statement said. -TVS
