LIMBANG, 20 September: Balance Party 2026 recorded sales of RM1 million, as well as attracting over 30,000 visitors from around the Borneo region during its four-day event.
Deputy Minister of Transport, Datuk Hasbi Habibollah said that the achievement proves that Bilan Pesta can boost local economic activity through the participation of traders, entrepreneurs and small and medium-sized industry activists.
He said the sales recorded during the party directly benefited the participating traders.
"The proceeds from the sale of labourers could reach RM1 million from the four days of the festival. I also understand that about 30,000 visitors have come to celebrate this year's Balance Party", he said.
He said this while addressing the 2026 Balance Party Suspension Meeting in Limbian Riverside Square, today.
According to Hasbi, this edition of the festival is also significant as it takes place at the newly completed and more comfortable Limbang River Bank, thus being the official opening of the area to the public.
He said the Balanced Party is among the interesting programs in the State Tourism Calendar and will be held every two years, after last being organized in 2017.
"The absence of the festival since nine years ago due to the COVID-19 pandemic in addition to paving the way for the implementation of the development project of the Bilan River Delta which is now fully completed", he said.
Hasbi said Balance Festival is also a strategic initiative to promote Balance as the main gateway to tourism in northern Sarawak.
