KUCHING: Thor Pickles emerged champions of Pickled On The Street (POTS) Kuching 2026, as the event brought teams together to promote pickleball beyond traditional courts.
Paluk Palli Palli finished as first runners-up, followed by Pirates J Dink in third place, while Toros x Dink Dynasty took fourth place.
The event held last Sunday (Oct. 11) aimed to make pickleball more accessible to the public by introducing the sport to mall visitors, families and first-time players in a fun and welcoming environment.
It also sought to encourage active lifestyles and strengthen community ties by bringing people of different ages and backgrounds together through sports.
By transforming a public space into a pop-up pickleball playground, POTS provided an opportunity for both beginners and experienced players to experience the sport outside conventional court settings.
The initiative also aimed to grow the local pickleball community and encourage more people to take up the sport beyond the event.
As part of the prizes, the winning teams received team-based cash vouchers sponsored by Skechers, with voucher denominations of RM30, RM50, RM75 and RM100.
The total prize pool amounted to RM1,530, comprising six RM30 vouchers worth RM180, six RM50 vouchers worth RM300, six RM75 vouchers worth RM450 and six RM100 vouchers worth RM600.
