It focused on 19 strategic locations, including food and beverage premises at Metrocity Commercial Centre in Matang and MJC Commercial Centre in Batu Kawa.

Several premises around Mile 7 of the Kuching–Serian Road were also inspected to ensure compliance with regulations governing the employment of foreign workers.

In addition, a construction site in Kampung Stakan Melayu was also inspected.

“All those detained were brought in for further investigation.

“Follow-up action is being taken to verify the status of the detainees’ travel documents and work permits in accordance with existing legal provisions,” said the department.
