KUCHING (Jan 13): One house was completely destroyed while another was severely damaged in a fire that broke out at Kampung Siol Kandis here on Tuesday afternoon.
The Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) dispatched firefighters from the Petra Jaya and Padungan fire stations after receiving an emergency call at 3.49pm.
“The fire involved two houses, with one completely destroyed and the other suffering about 80 per cent damage. All residents managed to escape safely, and no injuries were reported,” Bomba said in a statement.
Firefighters acted swiftly and successfully extinguished the blaze.
The operation concluded at 5.11pm.
