KUCHING, Sept 25: Two people sustained minor injuries in a road accident involving four vehicles near RH Plaza along Jalan Lapangan Terbang here this afternoon.

The Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) Tabuan Jaya responded to incident at 3pm, involving a Toyota Hilux, Ford Ranger, van and a Honda.

The two victims were found to have suffered minor injuries but were able to walk.

An assessment by the operation commander, PBK I Daniel Teo Wee Chiet, found that no victims were trapped inside the vehicles, contrary to the initial report.

Firefighters then carried out clean-up operations to remove an oil spill from the road surface using a hose connected to the fire engine’s water tank.

The situation was brought under control at 3.34pm, with the operation concluding at 3.43pm after firefighters have ensured the scene was safe. — DayakDaily
