TYT joins Friday prayers at Masjid Ikhwanul Islam in Tmn Sukma

KUCHING (Feb 20): The Yang di-Pertua Negeri Sarawak Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar, performed Friday prayers at Masjid Ikhwanul Islam in Taman Sukma here today.

He arrived at the mosque at noon and was received by Masjid Ikhwanul Islam chairman Mohd Said Gapor and members of the mosque committee.

Also present were Sarawak Mufti Department director Ahmad Sukarno Saini and Sarawak Islamic Religious Department (Jais) deputy director Abang Burhanuddin Abang Masuine.

The Friday prayers were led by the mosque’s Imam Khas, Fazrul Hakim Jobli, who delivered a sermon titled “Marhaban Ramadhan, Ibadah Digandakan” in conjunction with the fasting month of Ramadan.

After the prayers, Wan Junaidi joined congregants in performing funeral prayers for the late Rahimah Abu Hassan.

Before departing, he took commemorative photographs with the mosque committee, presented donation packets to children in attendance, and greeted members of the congregation.
