TYT Wan Junaidi honours memory of late wife with prayer recital ahead of Aidilfitri

KUCHING (March 19): Sarawak Governor Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar paid a solemn visit to the Islamic Cemetery in Semariang this morning to honour the memory of his late wife, Dato Seri Feona Sim Abdullah @ Norjanah Wan Junaidi.

He was accompanied by Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah Mohd Sanusi, as well as their daughters Sharifah Fariah and Sharifah Nong Jasima, along with their respective spouses, Mohd Syukri and Muhammad Nur Hakeem Yusop.

Upon arrival, the family was welcomed by the Grand Imam of Sarawak, Dato Mustapha Kamal Ahmad Fauzi, alongside representatives from the Sarawak State Mosque Welfare Trust Board (LAKMNS), including Ahmad Rabbani Mohamad Taufek.

During the visit, Mustapha Kamal led a tahlil (recitation of prayers) in remembrance of the late Feona Sim.

With Raya Aidilfitri approaching, Wan Junaidi and his family prayed for her eternal peace, seeking Allah SWT’s mercy and forgiveness, and that she be placed among the righteous.

Prayers were also offered for light and tranquility at her resting place, and that her good deeds continue to bring blessings to those she left behind.

Dato Seri Feona Sim Abdullah passed away at the age of 71 on May 27, 2022, at 6pm at Borneo Medical Centre.
