KUCHING (Sept 5): Sarawak Governor Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar and wife Toh Puan Fauziah Mohd Sanusi will grace the state-level Malaysia Day 2024 celebration at the Sports Complex Indoor Stadium in Sri Aman on Sept 16.
Minister for Education, Innovation and Talent Development Dato Sri Roland Sagah Wee Inn, who is minister in charge of the event, said the celebration will begin with a thanksgiving ceremony at the Sri Aman Auditorium on Sept 14, followed by a concert at the Sri Aman Waterfront later that night.
“On Sept 15, another thanksgiving ceremony will be held at Masjid Bandar Sri Aman which is expected to be joined by 1,000 people,” he said after leading a delegation to pay a courtesy call on Wan Junaidi at the Astana here today.
Separately, the Head of State received a courtesy call from the management of University College Sedaya International (UCSI) led by group executive officer Datuk Dr Siti Hamisah Tapsir.
This visit was to inform Wan Junaidi of the latest developments regarding UCSI’s Kuching branch.
