LIMBANG (Oct 31): Children in Sarawak, particularly those in Limbang, should become proficient in the Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) learning module, in order not to fall behind in other areas.

According to Deputy Transport Minister Datuk Hasbi Habibollah, those who master STEM at the highest skill level can meet the latest industry and market needs, producing more experts in the field.

“We are empowering the STEM field in Sarawak to meet the demands of the job market.

“I thus hope the local children would master STEM-related skills, in addition to achieving excellent results on the major examinations,” he said during SMK Agama Limbang’s co-curriculum day and charity sale, recently.

The Limbang MP said children must learn the latest technological and skill-related abilities needed in order to fill the job opportunities in Sarawak.

Parents can also help them learn how to succeed in various fields, besides religion, by encouraging their children to enrol at SMK Agama Limbang, he added.

Also present was the school’s principal Rusli Che Mood.
