KUCHING (Feb 12): The Sarawak Tourism Board (STB) is committed to maintaining market visibility and strengthening trade distribution in Indonesia while supporting the nation’s target of 43 million visitors under Visit Malaysia (VM) 2026.
In a statement, it said that it participated in the Astindo Travel Fair from Feb 5-8 at the Indonesia Convention Exhibition in Tangerang, followed by business-to-business (B2B) trade engagements in Jakarta from Feb 9-10.
According to STB chief executive officer Dr Sharzede Datu Salleh Askor, the programme provided a valuable platform to engage consumers while building trade confidence through targeted follow-up engagements.
“By linking consumer interest with trade-ready products and long-term partnerships, we are positioning Sarawak to deliver sustained visitation in support of VM 2026,” she said.
During the four-day fair, STB engaged Indonesia travellers by showcasing Sarawak’s diverse tourism offerings across its Culture, Adventure, Nature, Food and Festivals (CANFF) pillars.
STB added the engagement also highlighted Sarawak as an immersive and experience-rich destination within Malaysia.
