KUCHING, Apr 27: The need for faster, more effective delivery of rural development projects took centre stage at a rural transformation project (RTP) workshop for Kapit Division to align priorities and address on-the-ground challenges.
In a Facebook post, Kapit MP Dato Sri Alexander Nanta Linggi said that the workshop, which was held in Miri, serves to coordinate and plan all rural development projects together with the Resident’s Office, District Offices, departments, and implementing agencies, as well as the Kapit District Council and local leaders.
“The workshop is not merely a discussion but provides a clear picture that people in rural areas require faster and more effective delivery, as well as joint efforts from all parties to ensure that every project truly reaches the people and that its benefits are felt by them.
“I emphasised that we cannot work in silos. We must work as one team, identify weaknesses, improve delivery, and enhance technical capacity for the well-being of the people of Kapit,” said Nanta, who is also the federal Minister of Works. — DayakDaily
