KUCHING (March 19): Police arrested four individuals — three local men and a woman — for suspected involvement in drug-related activities during a raid here on Tuesday.
Kuching district police chief ACP Alexson Naga Chabu said the suspects, aged between 20 and 28, were detained at a house in the Sungai Apong Resettlement Scheme at about 8.35pm.
“Police found substances believed to be 10.61 grammes of methamphetamine, 7.77 grammes of ketamine, 10.61 grammes of Erimin 5 pills, and 1.42 grammes of cannabis.
“The total estimated market value of the seized substances is RM1,264,” he said in a statement.
He said all suspects tested positive for drugs during an initial urine screening. Background checks revealed that one of the male suspects has five prior criminal records, while the other three have none.
“The case is being investigated under Section 39A(1) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952.
“All suspects have been remanded under Section 117 of the Criminal Procedure Code for three days from March 19 to 21, 2026, to assist in investigations,” he added.
