Firefighters and paramedics attend to the injured victim at the scene.
BINTULU (Dec 30): A woman was injured while two others escaped unharmed after a sedan overturned by the roadside at Mile 26 along Jalan Bintulu-Miri on Tuesday morning.
The 52-year-old woman complained of pain in her hand and back, while the other two females, aged 54 and 28, did not sustain injuries.
According to the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba), a team of 10 firefighters from Bintulu fire station was dispatched to the scene after receiving a distress call at 7.35am.
“There were three people trapped in the car but they were not pinned, and all of the victims were helped out of the car by members of the public before firefighters arrived,” the department said in a statement.
Firefighters assisted in stabilising the victim at a safe area while awaiting medical personnel.
Upon arrival, Ministry of Health (MOH) paramedics took over treatment and transported the victim to hospital using an ambulance.
