KUCHING, Dec 24: The Ministry of Public Works has reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring that all road infrastructure remains safe and comfortable, particularly for those travelling back to their hometowns during the festive season.
In a TVS news, Minister Dato Sri Alexander Nanta Linggi said maintenance works will continue to prioritise the comfort and safety of all road users this Christmas.
He also extended his warmest Christmas greetings to the Christian community nationwide.
“Christmas is a season of peace, hope, and love. Let us embrace this spirit through the strong bonds of brotherhood and unity, which form the foundation of our nation,” he said in his Christmas message today.
Nanta, who is also Kapit MP, encouraged families to make the most of the holiday period, wishing that the celebrations bring joy and well-being to all Christians.
Looking ahead to the New Year, Nanta highlighted the ministry’s focus on implementing sustainable infrastructure initiatives to enhance public welfare.
“The ministry is committed to maintaining our infrastructure network at the highest standards. This includes improving road quality, ensuring user safety, accelerating critical public projects, and promoting the widespread use of the MyJalan application among Malaysians,” he said.
He added that the ministry hopes to achieve even more significant milestones next year in support of the nation’s development. — DayakDaily
