KUCHING (March 10): A total of 131 flood victims from 28 households are currently being sheltered at two temporary evacuation centres (PPS) here today.
The Sarawak State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) said the PPS are located at Dewan R-Piang in Kampung Sinar Budi Baru and at the Stapok Community Hall in Kampung Desa Ria, Jalan Desa Wira.
Dewan R-Piang is currently housing 87 evacuees from Kampung Sinar Budi Baru, while the Stapok Community Hall is sheltering 44 evacuees from Kampung Desa Ria.
Both PPS are recording increasing numbers as more residents seek temporary shelter and relief at the centres.
