KUCHING, Oct 13: Two woman were injured after their car plunged into a ravine in Sematan.
According to a report from the Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) operations centre today, they received a call regarding the incident at 5.24am and dispatched Bomba Lundu to the location.
Based on the report, the victims were travelling in a Perodua Myvi when their vehicle plunged into a 2-metre-deep ravine near a roundabout in Pekan Sematan.
The first victim was helped out of the vehicle by the Malaysia Civil Defence Force (APM) and police personnel and transported to the hospital using an APM ambulance.
The second victim, who was pinned inside, was extracted by firefighters using rescue tools and handed over to the medical personnel from the Ministry of Health (MOH) waiting at the scene for further action. — DayakDaily
